The colors are a little "muddy" looking, but it is an interesting object! How
many light_sources did you use? What was the render time? I bet jpeg didn't
like it much...

Thanks. It really has been a while since I have had any time to devote
to raytracing and I was wondering if I would ever get to again. I have
been working so many hours lately just keeping up with the messages
in the groups has been a problem.

I appreciate the praise but POV-Ray gets most of the credit. It is
a really simple texture from metals.inc applied to a plain with a
ripple normal and 4 colored light sources -
plane { y,-2
texture{T_Chrome_5E}
normal{ripples 1 scale .5 frequency 10 turbulence .15}
}

see it in any resolution you want :)
