I used get_particle. Very sensible way to implement custom particles, methinks.

Delitefully weird. I believe this is just the sort of image POVRay, and
other CGI software, was ment for, the creation of imaginary and
impossible worlds. Let's see more of this sort of thing.

Yes. I did so right before my vacation 
started 3 weeks ago. (And now I'm back 
from North Norway and ready to POV :)

I also managed to put some hair-like 
"spikes" on the blob in an image I 
rendered the night before I left. 

But I wasn't happy with the image so 
I didn't post it.

I think some of my code would have been 
simplified if I had used MegaPOV.
