Well, since I am not good at povray I thought I was just going to put
together some things that other people have contributed.

Jay Raney contributed the Aquapod, Bob Hughes created the underwater
scene, TonyB and SamuelT the country grass ... wich now is serving as
sea grass. ;-)

Anyway, here is the result, hope you enjoy it... I had fun putting it
together.

The scene looks good. The colors seem to be
natural. Everything seems to be the right size
in relation to everything else. I like the
greenish Aquapod.
But the shadows from the grass make it look
like the sun/light source is far too close.

Just me being picky.

The algae floating on the surface is a nice twist!

Actually that's just reflections from the 20.000 blades of grass in a
200x200 povunits square placed on the seafloor, and I'd rather not have
it there... :-)

This was a scene I whipped up in about 30 minutes, not including the
rendering, which took about 1 hour. The image is also cropped,
originally it's 800x600.

Not my doing. As I said, it's only pickings from various persons in the
povray community, I just compiled it.

Yeah, you're right.... hmm, I might try to change that.

Alright! Somebody *does* care. :) Thank you.

Work on the water/sky planes and add some caustics. Maybe even some fish.

If it's any consolation inbetween rewriting my grass file I've been
experimenting with country grass. I'm trying to get it to do what I need -
could take some time.

But of course... :-D And your welcome!

Hehe, a school of fish would look great, wouldn't it? I am fiddling a
little bit about with caustics and the sky sphere.

As soon as I can get megapov to compile on my Sun UltraSPARC IIi 440 Mhz
thingybob...

This looks nice... Many a modeler forget about the drastic affects a good
scene can have on the model... Myself, when i am done w/ the model i run out
of patients to create a good scene to show off a good model...

I think the water surface needs angle-dependent reflection, so that would be
good if you can get MegaPov onto your system. In the meantime try using
'reflection_exponent' with a low value, that should help. Neat sub.

Bob
