This is a study on photons. I hope you'll enjoy it. Here are some stats.

Pixels: 270000 Samples: 863114 Smpls/Pxl: 3.20

Number of photons shot: 4.28e6
Surface photons stored: 1.77e6

Time For Photon: 0 hours 59 minutes
Time For Trace: 10 hours 41 minutes
Total Time: 11 hours 40 minutes

I'd like to perform such studies as well, but unfortunately I can't
stand hangover :-(
Picture looks good (very good, to be honest), but I'd like to see it
when camera is moved a little bit downward, now it's hard to distinguish
glass shape.

It looks as though the wine has a clear meniscus (sign of an underaged red
BTW). Is this a deliberate effect or a trick caused by the photons?

May I suggest you to see the image in a dark room and with a dark
background on the screen.

Alberto.

PD. Next time I'll send a brighter scene.

It was a deliberate effect. I didn't know that this was a bad sign.

Not really a bad sign... just an indication of a young wine. As a wine
develops the meniscus takes on more of the wines colour. Cellar your scene
file for a year or two, re-render it and see if the situation has improved
;-)

I like this one very much, I threw some gamma at it and it's mellowed
quite a bit.
