Right now the backs aren't textured (front and back are same), and I
can't find any AOL CDs lying around to scan, and even if I could, my
scanner's still busted...
92 CDs * 500 free hours = 46,000 free hours
You must use them in your first month, though ;-)

Now all they need is a CD that gives you 744 free hours in your first
month.

Very nice...

...but don't they lack the typical colored effects you usually see on CD's?

Forgot to mention: I would like to put in the rainbow effects, but I don't
believe there's any MegaPOV feature or anything to do this, if there is please
let me know so I don't have to use regular (unrealistic) texturing.

Try giving them iridescence, and a very finely scaled wood normal.

If the subject is "46,000 free hours of AOL", then shouldn't the image be of
someone ripping all their hair out trying to connect? Or perhaps of a very
old looking person with text below, "Finally Connected after 153 years".
:-)

Nice image, though. The CDs look like they have a bit too much specular.
BTW, don't forget about that cool rainbow-colored lighting that you see on
the back of CDs. That looks way cool. ;-)

or cheat, make a nice cd pattern in paint shop - just some colour bands
expanding from a central point, place the image behind the camera, and let
reflection do the rest

Maybe you can use some of the code from my CD Include File available from my
website.

Don't worry, we'll get another one soon enough.

Oops, did I forget to mention that it works somewhat realistic, also when
the CD is animated, when the light_sources are animated, and when the camera
is animated? Simply scanning a CD cannot produce such results...
