Heh, thanks.  It's so 3D-computer-generated-clean though... really hate to
dirty it up.  I think I might have a "wight" around here from the looks of the
mess I always have.  I looked the word up and of the two definitions I'm
talking about the fighter one, but maybe you meant a hard-working blobwoman
maid.

I don't understand why you think the flame is getting worse - the last image
posted had the best flame yet and, IMHO, was one of the better POV flames
I've seen anywhere.

guys, which life in your house for free and make some work for you while you
are asleep. They are mostly harmless, but beware if you make them angry.
This would be the blobwoman then, I think. You know, she is sitting there
just outside the camera angle, and when you come and change the fire, so
that it looks even better than before and you scatter the ashes all around
on the plate, she takes here bucket and scrubber and wipes it all away
before the rendering is finished. :-)

Yes! That's why!  I already knew about the gremlins in the computer but I
didn't realize they were getting into my scene renders! ;-)
Actually I almost guessed that's what you were saying before but I kept
thinking Wight=wife sounded better, until I checked the dictionary.

Those flames would look good in a blacksmith's kiln, or maybe a glass 
blowing furnace.
