Hi,

"Die letzte Wache" - The last guard/sentry(?) just before dawn when the
first gleams of the new day creep over the horizon and the night has lost
all the warmth of the last day ...

Credits go to Gilles Tran for the Maketree-macro (well for actually for the
example tree 7) and to Peter Houston for the blobman.

Comments please.

Marc-Hendrik

Great picture. The ground switches to a darker color than the trunk of the
tree and the mans legs so it doesn't seem quite right to me there. It's as
though there is a wall there and the guy is standing on it. Well, maybe it is
a wall...?

Looks good, how about some roots for the tree and a bit of irregularity
in the horizon ?

I love silhouette shots such as this one!

Sit and wait for 15 min and then take the shot :) Seriously, go for a
slightly brighter, reddish sky, the top of as un disk (just a hint of
it), a lens flare, a mist and the guardian's shadow in it, etc... I
know, I know, it's cliched, but I really like contre d'ajours (pardon
my French) shots.

Very nice. Atmospheric, and frankly, I'm not going to nitpick since I've
not come up with anything that good yet :)

The title of the post made me think of the IRTC submission a while back
called 'Last Watch' I think, which was a dual image stereogram rendered
in one pass.

Bye for now,
     Jamie.
