Here is an example image of my torus macros' capabilities. I guess it's
probably been done before, but it was fun to make. The macros can be
found at povray.binaries.scenes-files
Questions or comments are welcome, as usual~
P.S. Image has 15% compression.

Say, that looks really nice. I like the red one in particular. Thanks,

Could almost convince a person to like tessellated POV primitives. I like
anyhow.

Where were you when I was fighting with one myself? Argh!
:))
Seriously, I like the result a lot, and knowing your style, it
shouldn't take ages to learn to use either. And of course I love the
red one :)

My little boy says that they are a tire, a jar and a mouse trap.

I was probably fighting with one, too. I've never used so many sin and cos
statements before......

I try to control myself and not add too many parameters to my macros....

How 'bout a neo-victorian lamp for a torical flourescent bulb? Or just a
bunch of incadescent... either way it would look cool as a lamp.

The glass torus looks very nice. Some great implementations jump to mind...
=)
