I believe this to be a bug.
The code for the image is in p.t.s-f, notice how the
superellipsoid vanishes when it is rotated y*90.

This happens in both Official Windows version 3.1g and MegaPOV 0.4

If this is a bug, where do I report it ?

povray.bugreports is the place. Hold your fire for just a bit, I think
a post in povray.general would be a good idea so that we can discuss
the bug (and any possible remedies) there.
