As a part of my "publish-those-old-images" program I found this image I made
about a year ago. Back then I lost interest for it and never came around to
publishing it. However, when I recently looked at the image again, I though
it deserved to be published. I made a few adjustments, and this is the
result.

What do you think of it? Does it need improvement? The image is supposed to
be kind of surrealistic. Does it qualify? Maybe I should add a strange
flying thing far away in the sky. All feedback is appreciated!

Greetings,

Rune

Yup. You could also shroud the tower with some emitting media of some sort
to give it a magical quality.

It seems lacking. I would suggest adding some detail to the textures, and fix
the lighting (the tower looks almost flat). Perhaps Tony was right about
media...

With the tower perhaps you could take the equation for a cone (it is a cone
isn't it) and add/subtract the crackle pigment function and make it an
isosurface so the sides are not flat (contained_by a elongated cube/box)

Apart from that its pretty good

I don't think I'll do that, but I'll try out atmosphere. :-)

That would be my first isosurface...

Well, I'll try to learn how to use it... :-)
