Here are two pictures of modified versions of Bob's glass spheres.  One
has the light in front of the spheres and the other one has the light
behind them.

Hmm, pretty neat, but I never made any frosted glass spheres  ;-)
I guess you do mean me and that earlier attempt at an answer to making
that kind of texture.
I like how the smooth one at top appears when backlit.
