Nice air plane!

I have dreamt about modelling an air plane for some time now.

But I have not started yet, because I'm not sure if I am able to
model all the curved surfaces that has to be smoothed together.

E.g.:
I find it difficult to model the areas where the wings meets the
body of the plane.

I think I could use blobs though...
(but I like better the challenge of doing it with CSG :)

Where on the plane are your problem areas ?

... And did you use blobs?

Tuskeegee. :) (I think)

Yeah, you could use this model with nearly any markings, but PSP? That's not
why I use Pov ;)

This one carries the markings of the aircraft in the new online game "Aces
High" (tm HiTech Creations). I'm using it to make a multimedia handbook in
order to teach ACM, BFM, and squadron tactics. I have a long way to go,
though.

No, I modelled this in Truespace, a sin as far as true Pov'ers go. The
problem areas are nearly invisible in this image, but you can see some of it
near the canopy edges where it meets with the frame. The canopy frame has a
few errant triangles, and the side of the fuselage (near the radiator bath)
is not quite along the lines of the original aircraft. Modelling, even with
a great modeler, can be frustrating.

Tuskegee, about 30 miles east of the state capitol Montgomery, Alabama.
Since I haven't commented on this one yet I may as well do so now.
I like that sunshine, the sky however (not the clouds) just seems way too dark
as though seen from a high altitude. So high up in fact I'd not expect to see such
clouds.
However, if you were to envision this vantage point as being from within some sort
of tinted canopy then maybe the scene as a whole could be explained.
Well, anyhow, I guess like the others I too think it's the things other than the plane
which need some more changes.
