Did you get the idea from a star trek next generation episode? they had
robots for the same purpose.

All that gray with just a little blue adds an interesting touch.
(Hmm, looks like my NS window... hehe)
Sorry if I asked this before, but what do you use to post? (it was HTML)

It's a little exercise on modeling and textures. I still don't think I
captured that gleam in >the "eyes"... Comments good or otherwise
appreciated. -Chris- [clipped image]
Nope, strictly coincidental. In fact, I'm somewhat a trekkie and I have no
idea what your talking about...

It's a little exercise on modeling and textures. I still don't think I
captured that gleam in >the "eyes"... Comments good or otherwise

Again, no. Strictly coincidental.

Well, I had to have some distinguishing mark "labeled" the front of the
bot. I was going for an H.E. Day'ish glowing media effect in the eyes, but
it turned out looking more like a jellybean/marble. Still, not bad for my
first try at hand-coded media. Hmmm...something pupil-like, interesting.

MS Outlook Express, with Rich HTML...did that cause a problem in the post?
It looks ok from this end...

BTW, if I had rendered at a higher resolution, you'd might actually see some
red ;) So are you insinuating the need for more color or contrast?

As part of a server policy we prefer that you post in plain text when visiting
this news server. The relevant part of the news server policy is stated below
1.) This has been mentioned before in other announcements on this
news server but we would appreciate it if you do not post your
messages in HTML format. Many of our visitors do not have HTML
compliant news readers. Also, HTML messages consume more server
resources than do plain text messages. We do not expire messages
in every group on this server and HTML posts are a luxury we
cannot support.
Thanks,
Ken Tyler

Wow! That's cool! Send me the source-code, please!
For the eyes, try a high phong number 2 or above.
