Did you *have* to name your image like this?
_cracked mud.jpg_
My newsreader failed to launch the image becaue of the unusual name. I
think it's the undersore at the end, because I've had problems in the
past with unusual suffixes. I eventually got it open, but it's really
awkward compared to almost everyone else's images.

I also had problems with this it appeared to me as "cracked mud.JPG" with
the quotes, I had to rename it before I could get anything to view the image.

My newsreader automatically names it, sorry. I've really got to get used to a
different reader.

See if you can just attatch it differently. It was a uuencoded attachment. Nowadays
MIME
is preferred.

Also, your reader added quotes around the name. That's what was confusing the other
programs. Probably if you removed all spaces before ataching that would probably
minimize
problems. But using MIME would be better.

I couldn't view it either!
Another thing, I hate periods in directory names. POV-Ray makes a
directory like this and certain programs cannot read it (Paintbrush says
"could not open c:/povray/Pov-Ray for Windows v3.bmp" if you double-click
a BMP in Explorer, and Micrografx always saves JPEGs as "c:/povray/Pov-Ray
for Windows v3.jpg" (although other file types can be saved anywhere, so
it is obviously a problem with their JPEG-writing routine)).
