When I see images like this I begin to wonder how much more complex MC
Escher's work would have been if he had POV-Ray. This is great! What does it
look like with mountains?

I don't know every word in the English language, so you'll have to forgive
me. Besides that second one sound like hemorroids or something...

Thanks. I don't know if I should really do that. Is there any need? You'll
find all you need in the MegaPOV demo folder. Look for torus1.pov and
warp_maps.pov. Then compare what you learn there with Gilles' latest work on
spherical heightfields, and you've got it made.

Actually it might be nice if you did post the code in .text.scene-files.
Before POV-Ray v3.5 is released members of the TAG and the POV-Team will
be looking for good examples of MegaPov's new features to use as examples
and tutorials. While there are examples already for individual features
this demonstrates how to combine different features to achieve results
that may not be intuitively obvious otherwise. This is unique enough that
it, or a variation of it, might be included.

Haven't tried it yet. I'll post the donuts for David and SamuelT. though.
(I'm currently looking for a "powdered-sugar coating" texture, if there
is such a thing.)

Wow... one of my projects as an Official Scene File. :O I'll post it ASAP
(in other words, when I come back from school this afternoon).
