I used galaxy.inc to create a random galaxy seed i.e. looks like a
nebula or some such astral body, and write the image to png or gif
depending on platform. ( mac accepts png not gif ) then used for the
h.f.
can range from some gentle slopes to high peaks depending on the color
and value.
make sense...?

What do you mean?
The Mac version supports the same file types as any other version,
except that the "sys" type is PICT. And it has the added capability of
outputting to QuickTime MooV.
Anyway, a creative use of that include file...

It works fine for me, in both Official 3.1g.r2 and MacMegaPOV 0.4. Are
you sure your image file is in GIF format? Can you provide some sample
code?

My fault.. I tried several other gifs and found the error to be something
specific w/ the interlacing used on the gif i usually attempt to use others
work just fine...
I only had one gif till recently...
Guess i will pay more attention...
