Perhaps not. Very close.
I really like those chitinous "plates" (Crackle pattern). Good use of
Post_process.
The final product should be interesting.

Maybe, but I don't think it'll ever be finished. I mean: you can
call it a wonder I found time to make this!

I think the pods... Whatever purpose they may serve... Should sit a little
farther back... Giving way to balance and Aerodynamics... The way it stands
now looks nice...
Is there a normal on the window... How does it look so streaked...???

P.N. I am working on an ant it is much more simple than yours but will serve
its purpose well enough... What kind of texture is on the head of your ant it
looks alien...???

Well, it was my idea to make the cockpit look like an insects eye...

Probably because of the green color and the crackle-bumps...
It was supposed to look organic with some insectoid (?) parts in it.

Wow. This is very good. It looks like it should be an alien snub fiighter of
some reptilian race who saw Babylon5 and copied the design of the fighters.

It achieves your goal although my first impression was more reptilian
than insect-like (not a bad thing, IMO).
