Here is an image of a ball covered in different colors of fluorescent 
paint which appear white under normal light, as well as a plain white 
cylinder. This image really was a test of light groups with my 
patch...there are really three light sources, a purple "blacklight" one, 
a multicolored patterned one set to interact with only the sphere, and a 
fairly dim white light.

I was just about to recommend some practical applications for flourecent
balls but I think I will just shut up and go away quietly.

They would be useful for finding your glow stick before you light it.
