It took 16 hours to render in my amd k6 3 400...

the textured need work, so I focal blurred the closer mountains.
THe sky is simple with no clouds...

Kidding aside I don't think this is very realistic for the reason that
the distances are too far for an image like this to be out of focus
either in photography or in terms of human eyesight.

I know, i just couldnt make the texture look good in short distances. so I
added the focal blur.  I'll render it(or find an "OLD" image) without focal
blur.  I looks like shit....

A nice start. though I have to agree with Ken that the focal blur is out
of place. Instead try using only a small amount of focal blur. Just
enough to blur the texture a tinny bit.

Any way, beyond total realism and giving war to an artistic sense, i
think it looks fine...
Couldn't it be likely the viewer has just taken off his/ her reading
glasses to experience this breathtaking view from a heli tour...?
