Just to get in on the abstract image craze going on around here...

No patterned pigments were used to create this. Only single colored
primitives were used to create the effect.

When are you going to create a web gallery of your excellent works so that
we can enjoy them all together?

Great stuff!

Using a normal pattern with the camera statment can create some very
interesting effects and is worth the time playing with. I find that
taking the time to use some of the more obscure features like this
one can yeild some very surprising results.

All you need is a link at your links page which could be a URL pointing to a new
webspace directory without a index.html. Like:

http://home.pacbell.net/tylereng/images/

and upload your renders to there. Then when people use that link they'll see a
list of them; no need for fancy web page stuff and very simple, no maintenance,
only uploading to be done.

Nope. No reflection/refraction used anywhere.

5000+ primitives (box, cylinder, cone, and spheres) tightly arranged,
given a single random color, and then viewed through a camera that
has a waves normal applied to it. Oh and four different colored spot
lights highlighting the whole mess.

Drool. How easy do you think it would be to conrol this and give an
impressionist painting look? This is great!

I think with some experimentation a technique could be developed.
This image while contrived and intentional the final results were
as much a matter of luck than skill on my part.

There was an entry in the gardens round of the IRTC that used this
technique, and very effective it was too. Details follow.
