Great work Sander, keep it up! Oh, also, I would add a bit (more) of a
normal to the floor.

I have to steer between what is really needed to make a realistic picture
and the nice things that can be added as extras. Area lights are very
cpu-intensive: this was something like 6 PPS already!
I will have to think this through... ;-)

Hi Sander!
when following this thread I was wanting to ask you to add some
scattering media. But with 6 pps already .... (sigh)
I like it as it is.

A stereogram would be nice. Did anyone ever think about a stereogram
with media? How would it look like?

Looking really good now, the last version of this that
I saw had brightly coloured doors or panels at the back
of the scene as I remember, and the lighting looks
much better now, not as busy as it was before.
Keep up the good work, and let us see it when it's
finished.

Sounds like you need a second render dedicated machine or just
install Linux. For the last 5 days I've been rendering 2 large
animations and one high quality still all at the same time, while
reading my news, installing and compiling new software, ripping and
encoding mp3s, the multitasking is superb, shame my modem stuffed up
so I couldn't send or receive any news or mail untill rebooting last
night, (a friend has found me an old external modem Yipee).

Sander
I kinda wish the floor was more black and white than green.
Still it is a wonderfully evocative image that I always enjoy
to look at.
