I'm right-handed, but can write backwards left-handed. It's cool,
because everything, every 'jot and tittle' turns out the same, only
opposite. I guess it's because I was left-handed in preschool, but they
made me write with my right.

I wonder why they made people do that...

Left comes from the latin word for evil, or sinister. You can't tell in
English, but in Spanish, that would be derecha (right) or diestra and
izquierda (left) or siniestra. So, by this association of left with the
devil, people were forced to do things with the "right" hand. (Hmmm, so that
would make left the "wrong" hand?)

Yes but when right is gone what's left is right :)

That is most interesting indeed. Never heard that before. Wonder what the
world would be like if it were 50-50, lefties and righties. Much tougher to
figure out the evil ones, huh...?

What is even more interesting, and Ken "I am Left-Handed" Tyler can
correct me on this if I remember wrong, is that it really had nothing to do
with the Devil. The reason this term was used is because the left hand was
traditionally used to wipe one's ass, making it unclean for other uses.

Anything else will be in p.o.t.

If Bill "I don't know my left from my right" DeWitt would see the FAQ I
posted as a response to one of TonyB's posts to the "discrimination"
thread in p.o-t he will see that question and answer #33 goes into some
detail on this subject very little of which has to do with ass wiping.

Should I miss being subscribed to p.o.t.? Perhaps not. I sure hope you people
are leaving room for the image binaries group with all the OT stuff that must
still go on there. And yes, I'm saying this all in jest (less the not
subscribed part).

You are missing some interesting topics by avoiding it.

You may have missed the fact that all messages in the off topic group are
set by the news server to automatically expire in 12 days time. That group
is not taking up any serious space on this server at all. Check it out
when you get the time.

And I was jesting in my reply to Bill as well.
