I thought it meant "the last". Scared me there for a second. I didn't want
to loose such a great artist as Govert. He got the duck bills just right. I
gotta see that source for that.

In this case it is "the last" indeed.
The only letter of the alphabet he hadn't used yet.

Mighty Govert has spoken at last! I hope this does not translate to
"The Last One" of if it does, it only indicates a change towards some
even better trend in your art. I really love your pictures.

They say he ran out of letters. I only hope he now starts using numbers (I
don't think he'll manage to use all of those ;).

I still think it means "the last", since in my (limited) knowledge
of dutch "the latest" would be "de nieuweste".

<myownlimitedunderstandingofthelanguage> -?-! They do not say to me that
Govert is a duck! </myownlimitedunderstandingofthelanguage>
<babelfish> Excrement! They do not say to me that Govert is duck!
</babelfish>
Somehow I don't think 'excrement' is correct. Or else it loses something
in the translation.

Numbers? I wouldn't! I'd find something else. Numbers are just so (impersonal
I guess--not sure what word I want here). I'd use Greek letters.

<expandedunderstandingofpanamanianslang>
Pato means duck, yes, but in slang: "homosexual".

Shit is a much more appropriate translation of mierda. Excremento is
excrement.
