It finished rendering 8 minutes past midnight this morning, and I don't
think it's odd enough to be one of my usually abstracts. Oh well, comments?

Regis says: "Final answer!"
(Pardon my obscure USA TV reference)
I say: "Looks great."
Well, if you don't think it is 'odd' enough to be one of
your usual abstracts, I personally think that you should
work on it some more.
Nonetheless it stands quite well on it's own.
See ya next week,
Peter

It's great. Minimalist art. I like it a lot. Not much to it but it speaks
volumes.

Says to me (keep in mind I'm not an art critic) that the physics of solids
liquids and gases are bound by electrical forces in a way that defies the other
forces.
Sorry, but you did ask.

Not as abstract, but very nice. How did you pull of the line? I'd like to see
the code for that trick!

I've finally got around to updating my web site, so it is now up-to-date.
The new additions are five of the six images posted to this news group (I
haven't uploaded my attempt at focal blur) with source and full size
images:-
landmark2000.jpg 3200x2400
dreamflash1.jpg 1600x1200
iso_rocks.jpg 1600x1200
fa0002.jpg 1600x1200
fa0003.jpg 640x480 <- as posted to group
they are all in POV gallery 7 on my site.

I used POV scripting to generate a recursive macro which generated a file of
co-ordinates for a sphere sweep. The Macro should be convertable to use
standard POV cylinders rather than sphere sweeps.
6 of the lines where then merged with 4 spheres and textured with an
emission media with 3 additive densities (r g & b).
I'll post the source to p.b.s but it's also available at
