The stars are out.

The atmosphere seems to show up most at the poles and on the shadow side of the
terminator. Good going on getting the clouds on there if this is image mapped
and black is clear, white is opaque. The in-between shades can be a hassle to
get right.
The other picture did turn up here, as you may have already seen.

I noticed that as well. There seems to be a shadow on the media on the opposite
side of the sun. Think I'm going to need to try different scattering types.

My newsreader didn't pick it up for some reason, so I can only see this
thread...unless I mistakenly posted it to another group? Hmm...confused

Thanks. I forgot the stars. Was hoping no one would notice. ;)

It showed up posted to an earlier thread titled "home" started by TonyB
a few months ago. Name collisions happen on a server where the messages
do not expire - I have seen this happen a few times in the past.

Neat. Aren't those clouds at too high altitude?

Only if your newsreader doesn't do proper threading. They're supposed
to thread off the References: header. Perhaps there's a switch you can
turn on somewhere to fix this behavior.

Very nice. Compared to images of Earth (like at
http://planetscapes.com/solar/raw/earth/earthafr.jpg ) your atmosphere is too
high, but you know what? I don't care. It looks much more artistic this way.
In fact, this is an example of art looking better than real life. This is how
I want it to be..
Hope it doesn't get to distorted with stars in the back ground
