While puzzling out how David made the image in the "Guess How It Was Made"
article, I found this image.

although, I do wish I had been a little less intent on solving David's
riddle and actually thought to save the settings so I could spend some more
time with it... ah well, a found and now lost image. ;)

no secret ;) -- a camera inside a reflective torus -- camera on one side of
the torus, lights on the other (all on the inside), and a really wide angle
lens.

Immediately I thought of a name for this image. "Lost Lake." The name Lost
Lake is something from my childhood. There is a place in wisconsin named
Lost Lake, and well nearby is Found Lake. This image looks like a strange
lake to me, and since you lost he settings, well "Lost Lake" seemed
appropriate.

at any point you may all choose to ignore me :)

me too... but I didn't save the settings, and I haven't been able to
duplicate them.

otoh, I did find this while playing about (yes, there *is* a sphere in this
one)... and I did manage to save the settings.

I love it.

A wonderful "found name" for the "found and lost" image.

Perfect.
