Here's David Fontaine's Namedisk. This will probably be ~700K encoded, but
it's much clearer then David's puny 1600x1200 version ;)

The heightfield was rendered at 6400x4800, so it's really nice and sharp,
and the image is, as the subject says, in 3200x2400. It has been compressed
with Paint Shop Pro 5 (yes, I know 6 is out, but I don't feel like paying
US$40 for an upgrade) with 33 JPG compression. Enjoy [the download time]!
;-)

Hi David: had your small picture down in no time!!
Made one for myself in 7680x5760x24 tga: a nice 129.601 kB. Wouldn't dare to
compress it or post it. But it looks just great: colours a bit brighter. I
will try to print it LARGE as a poster.
Nice idea all this!

Hope you get an impression of the poster...

Very nice. Still looking for myself.
JPEG hates you. Hate it back.

I almost rendered a large one myself, then I thought to myself "self, this
would be good animated in a circle closer up" and tried it out but either
the motion was always to great or too few frames to keep render time down,
or it was too small to see unless a really closeup view and then of course
way too many frames then for me to want to render it that way.
The parsing alone can be awhile if using the 5000x5000 Png for hf like I was
doing.
You know what though? How about adjusting those stands away from the
writing so you can see all of it? I just moved them outward some, should be
reshaped probably.
Anyway, it's great in both meaning and form. Thanks guys.

Bob

I hate to wreck your hard work, but my birth date appears on the disk as
11-Dec-52, when in fact it is 4-Apr-82. I'm not THAT old.

Don't scare me like that! You read it wrong. It goes "DD-MMM-YY - Name -
Location" and there is a " | " between persons.
