I just scanned it off my SuSE 6.3 box. :) I know it's an isosurface, but
which one is it? Anybody got a formula for this baby?

That is something that I thought of buying yesterday.
Maybe one of these days I will.

Well, at least I can thank you for replying. I seem to be getting few
responses since I returned. No one replied to my "Animating a RMF" in
.advanced-users. :(

It's a nice-looking (but unnamed as far as I know) degree seven
surface. (degree seven objects often have the unfortunate name of
"septic")

The SuSE web site has all their docs in .pdf and .txt format, and in
particular, you'll find their comments and the poly{7,<...>} equation
you're looking for at

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/6.3/docu/

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/6.3/docu/ascii/suselxen.txt
(this .txt file is missing a few math symbols, though.)

They also refer to the cool web site of the mathematician who has done

http://www.Mathematik.Uni-Mainz.DE/~endrass/
