To tease Brendan a bit here are some stars ;)
I needed a macro to make soft edged prisms, this is the result.

Next step is to make them 'really 3D' but I've tried that before and noticed
it's much more complicated (well, that is if you stick to union and merge, I
think a difference will make a difference).

Something really cool about the image is that the spacing of the stars is the
exact distance of one movement of my wheel mouse.  So when I scroll the window
with the wheel it looks like an animation. :)

My stars look interesting if one of the macro's keywords has a negative value.
But... see povray.general to read about a problem where the name of the macro is
an undeclared identifier.
