Hello people. I just want to start off by saying... OK, you're right.
Let the man post all the non-raytraced files he wants to fill up the
server's hard drive, and keep us for at least one moment away from the
usual stuff. (=

Here's my own useless clutter... the result of my latest 'tracings. I am
going to post these separately. OK?

The first one, this one, is my almost finished Bryce to POV-Ray image,
titled Alien Moon. It took about 1/2 hour to render. Pretty fast, huh?
This baby isn't done yet, but since I haven't gotten any help in
.general, I guess you feel that it was fine as was. Enjoy.

The second one, in the next message, is a 49,500 sphere blob that came
from my investigations into fractals, which led to chaos, and to this
image of a Lorenz Attractor. Chaos is just too cool. I have found like 5
attractors, none of which I have been able to make on my own. I happened
to find this one and made it cooler-looking. It took 3 hours to render
at 1024x768 (smaller here, of course). Enjoy.

I finally got the moon to look not-dark around the edges. Should I post the
final image? I feel kinda bad about posting so many versions of this already.

Well, the one thing that struck my off-hand is that the X-Wing really
should be kicking up a 'rooster-tail'

Just go back and cancel a post or two. :)

That'll work won't it?

OK. I cancelled one. I guess the responders should cancel theirs. I'll post it
as soon as I find out what the heck a 'rooster-tail' is and how it will make the
image better.

A rooster tail is the water spray resulting from fast moving objects upon
water. In the case of flying objects low to the water, I believe the term is
inaccurate. Nevertheless, aircraft approaching sonic velocities are known to
produce a similar effect.

Well, sorry. I know that this occurs, but I haven't the foggiest idea on how to
duplicate this effect. Besides, I didn't put it in the original image, and I'm
not planning on putting it here. Thanks anyway.

Transparent cone filled with media, that would be a start.

Cheers
