I got my recursion macro working, more or less. You'll find it in
binaries.scene-files. Documentation is somewhat sparse, but there is an
example scene with a few presets you can try out. Comments and suggestions
are welcome.
This object is constructed of torus segments. I rather like it, but it could
use some work... What do you think?

Excellent! looks a but like a weeping willow tree. As Rick suggested more lights
and perhaps make the spheres joining the sections together smaller they look too
bulgy.

Hmmm, yeah, a spotlight shining down on it. Statue of a fractal, eh? A bit
presumptous isn't it? Actually this would be a great method of showing the
different ones off. As if in a fractal museum or art gallery.

Presumptuous? Not a bit. I like to use spotlight, partially because they
conveniently leave the rest of the scene in darkness - so I don't have to
worry about it. And a statue? Well, I was bored of fractals floating in
space. So why not a statue? It would kind of explain the spotlight.
The fractal gallery is not a bad idea, by the way...

hmm, shall we do a fractal museum? this image has some good depth to it... I
like it.
