Take a look at the darkest parts of the surrounding sphere-necklace-thing. In
the top-right one you'll see a brighter section which is almost a square. It
looks misplaced and doesn't really look like it should be there. Any ideas
where it's coming from? I remind you all that any tips should be kept on a
beginners level.

I've tried with and without the photon-patch, and the square is there with
both versions (although it looks neater with photons. :-)

Yep, almost no doubt about it, a lot of inline refraction/reflection going
on there.
I absolutely love this image, worth the wait. Simple, yet textured well.
