If you insist! The holes are there, though. I used a height_field (heh)
textured with a checker pattern.

Boo, hiss... Post what? :)

I added a subtle effect in using a *very* dark sky_sphere, but somehow I
doubt that did it. I've posted the source over in text.scene-files. Check it
out. :)

If you were able to see the base of the tower in the second picture
Andrew C. posted there would be the angular braces I was referring to
anyhow. I was wondering if these were outdated by now from what you were
saying :) Maybe they should be if they aren't, must be a design that
goes back to the 60's. That "other" cooling thing-a-ma-jig is hard to
make head or tails of.
