I really like the colours, and the idea is interesting... abstract and good...

You have your cooling towers mixed up, Andrew is refering to the huge
(ten stories seems about right) towers used to store cooling water at
nuclear power plants. Ken, you are refering to the cooling towers used
on large buildings which serve a completely different type of cooling.

I really like it, very moody. How may I ask did make the reflection of
all the hexagonal holes in the floor in the spheres? As far as I can see
the floor does not have these holes. I like the look those holes give
the scene though.

And like art, I know it when I see it. A *very* fine image, from the
lighting to the texturing to the framing choices. Well done!
Any post processing done or what gave it that "grainy" feel?

If you insist! The holes are there, though. I used a height_field (heh)
textured with a checker pattern.
Right after I catch up on posts I'll put it in text.scenes-files for you.

Boo, hiss... Post what? :)
I added a subtle effect in using a *very* dark sky_sphere, but somehow I
doubt that did it. I've posted the source over in text.scene-files. Check it
out. :)

If you were able to see the base of the tower in the second picture
Andrew C. posted there would be the angular braces I was referring to
anyhow. I was wondering if these were outdated by now from what you were
saying :) Maybe they should be if they aren't, must be a design that
goes back to the 60's. That "other" cooling thing-a-ma-jig is hard to
make head or tails of.
