For those of you who don't know, the POV-Team has requested a new POV
Now! logo to replace the old one seen at their page. The main idea is to
make a visually appealing, atractive logo, with a 3 in it so it is
generic and they don't have to make a new logo each time (3.1, 3.2, 3.3,
etc.). Here is my attempt at a logo. Go to general and look for 'Quick
Request'. There are very nice logos already there, the best one so far,
IMHO, is Fabien Mosen's. I think mine is nice too, because it shows a
bit of what POV can do (sphere, cylinder, cone, box, torus, text). The
final image was composed in Photoshop. Enjoy.
(The big one is the original, at 478x170. The real thing is 90x32, but I
expanded that little guy to 92x34 to add a border.)
PS: Perhaps we should continue here, since this is the binaries group.
Better than general for this. And we should keep it all in one message
string. Agreed?

About time someone stepped away from the povray.general group to post
binaries. I mistakenly started posting there without realizing, and
since no one spoke up have continued. Even those animated gifs ought to
be in povray.binaries.animations instead really.
So maybe the line will start new again here. Btw, looks good!

The entity previously known as Anthony Bennett has been transformed into a new
entity known as TonyB.
The correct pronunciation of TonyB is as in 'toe', 'knee', and 'bee'. =)

Why has Anthony changed his name to PonyG. Were you suffering some sort
of identity crisis ?

That's "TonyB". I am not experiencing an identity crisis. Since my name is Anthony
Bennett, I took the Tony and appended my last name's initial, thus creating TonyB.
Good enough explanation..."Uncle Ken"?

It's good enough for Uncle Ken if it's good enough for PonyG.

I thought about that. Thing is it's a clean looking graphic, I realized
I started to get chaotic the more I tried putting mine together, close
to overkill. Yours has a good look to it. Only problem that comes to
mind is the "button" aspect. Seriously though, I like the
borderless-ness. Wonder how it would appear on a web page? In fact,
supposing it were on a non-white background it would be fine.

Aw heck, I get it, TonyB was Anthony Bennett to me the moment I saw it.
Hardly even a moment passed before I knew of the change, for whatever
the reason was, now *that* I don't remember already ;)

It's so much better than my real name.... =D
Oh, BTW - there IS a reason I use Twyst.
Here's the only existing picture of my halloween costume:

That's both funny and amazing at the same time! Nice work!
I have no pictures (thankfully)but I was once a Roman,Apple tree,
Duck, Rabbit, Cat...All at the same time! With real apples! In the
same night I made an 8ft. paper airplane(there was drinking
involved...).

A very thin border, using a colour map that goes right the way
through the spectrum. That way, it won't get lost on a white
background.

I offer this to you TonyB,
I humbly offer my apologies for my regrettable comments about your
choice of names that you would like to be known as. My comments were
made casually in jest and not maliciously to offend you. If I have
indeed offended your sensibilities through insensitive actions on my
part I am truly and honestly sorry for my indiscretions. Therefore I
sincerely beg your forgiveness in regards to my earlier actions and
do so vow to honour your wishes from hence forth and will address you
as you wish. I do hope that this matter will not drive a wedge between
us and that we can continue to communicate with each other having left
this matter cleanly behind us.
What say you of this TonyB ?

I hereby accept your above apology and the terms therein contained. Our
relationship shall hereafter continue to grow as long as no new such
situations arise. Herewith, I conclude my statement and assume TonyB as my
new official handle. Forthwith you will see messages posted by TonyB. Good

I should have posted the message I had written and deleted without
sending on second thought.
Can we get on with our lives now?
And the first person who jumps on me for saying this will be punished to
the full extent of the law.
Namely, frowning smilies in my future replies. Oh? Not tough enough?
Well now...
LOL you know, seriously though, I would hope there wouldn't be this kind
of stuff to string out in threads any longer than a post/reply or two.
From there, USE YOUR EMAIL!!!!!
Damned right I'm yelling.

it took about 8 - 10 hours.. and I had to build it in pieces.. And I made
it -- hence the nick "Twyst" - I'm a balloon artist during the summer.
