Think this means it can be scan-line rendering (although still of 3D
modelled scenes). You could be right though, raytrace probably should
mean just that.
I'm no expert at all on what the IRTC is officially dedicated to
however. I've only bought a CD of the entries before and never entered
(yet).

Yes, I know, a bit misleading isn't it?  Anyway, I take it to mean, use any
renderer of raytracing quality... i.e.  you probably should enter with a
renderer that can compete with raytracers in quality, because otherwise
you'll have no chance ;-)
