  It is also considered bad form to be seen trying to saw your way
through a victims body parts with a sword. One swell foop is the
prefered method choosen by professionals everywhere.

That, and so you could carry the head off on the end of a knife and
put it in a box for display.  Samurai used to spend hours doing their
hair before a battle so that their head would look good if a foe thus
enshrined it.
