Cool. Can't wait to see it finished. Did you assign a light_source to the
blade ( or light_source {looks_like{}} ) or did you cast a spotlight onto it?

I put an area_light into the lightsabers union {}
I made it almost as long as the blade and then rotated it 90 degrees so
it
cast kinda real shadows. The spotlight is just to show a bit of the
sand.
I'm planning on doing a 'practice' scene. You know the litlle robot that
Luke practiced with :)
