How did you do the bent tube sections in 'I killed my plumber'?  I'm trying
to do a rollercoaster sequence and making the bent tubes is puzzling me.

The tubes are made of cylinders, such that the end of one is the beggining
of the following one and with a sphere of the same diameter at this same
location !

Looks like the fog follows you, just the way the eyes in realy famous
paintings do.  I'm serious.  Just look at the fog.  

Nice tori (I believe it's the plural).  But really impressive fog
without shading the original object.

There is no fog, it's just a sphere with a simple material :
