You inspired me..I think yours is better as it's not obvious how it was done.
How was it done?

Looks like something Andy Warhol might have done....I like it.

Now this is a very nice pic. It is really very serene, perhaps because it
not too 3D. It would look good as a print at size of 2.00 x 1.50 mxm, with a
"passepartout" (don't know the English word here, I mean the large edge
around prints) and a simple (but expensive <g>) frame.
Could you please publish the code somewhere? I'm somehow very curious about
it.

The POV-source is in binaries.images.
I Like your "buttons" and the way they fragment.
Well it's not obvious to me how this is done. I guess blobs (by the
filename), Tried them once, didn't get a feel for it. Maybe later.
Feels good to inspire.

No, it's not blobs, just a scaled sphere differenced with a star made of four cones.
Can't post the code as I can't seem to find it. How's that for organized?

Now all it needs is a "chopped up" image map over it and to be placed in
a stadium - Olympics-opening-ceremony-style...

Mmmh, these "abstract" exercises are very interesting;
fresh and beautiful !
I feel I could be "inspired" too ;) Watch this space.
