4 Windows icons: *.ini, *.inc, *.pov and pvengine.exe is what I use
these for.
I know, the ini extension is used elsewhere too but I have way more
POV-Ray INI files than any other.
In case anyone doesn't already have all three of these types setup to
have POV enter them into its editor upon clicking on the filenames, do
this (same applies to INI files, just use 'ini' instead):

Run Explorer,
go to View/(Folder)Options in the menu, File Types tab.
Then press the New Type... button.
In the Description of type field type POV-Ray Include,
in the Associated extension field type INC,
in the Content_Type(MIME) field type text/povinc, (examples).
A default extension will show automatically.
Now press New... below the Actions field.
Type &Edit in the first field, then Browse to your POV-Rays
bin\pvengine.exe and select it.
Once it shows in the second field go to the end of the line there and
type in /EDIT "%1" (after end-quote of POV-Ray path) and press OK.
Press the Change Icon button at the top of the dialog to set it to one
of your own icons, Browse'ing selecting and OK'ing.
Finally OK and Close your way back out.

When *.inc (and/or *.ini) files are clicked on in Explorer they will
start POV-Ray and place the file into the editor.
This should be instruction enough; otherwise, learn elsewhere or on your
own how to do this.
