Once again, its the time of year that I have lots of work to do so instead of
doing it I retreat to playing around with POV. Here's a work in progress of an
Italian-like villa. There's still many things that are not right in the image,
and I'd like to add a lot more details, but here it is for now.

Looking good so far.

Those particular trees always evoke an immediate, warm response in me: Italy!
They're nicely done. I think the building 'edges' need some weathering--which
isn't easy to do, of course, without resorting to something like
CSG-differencing of height_fields from your basic shapes.

It looks kind of ... small. Like it's a christmas decoration for under
the tree, rather than a full-sized villa.

In part, it's the size of the tiles in the patio. They look like they're
two feet on a side compared to the building. The trees are too big for
the building, especially if you can see all the branches at this
distance. The shadows are much too sharp for the size of the items
casting the shadows, making the distance between tree and wall on the
left, for example, look like inches instead of feet.

Just my impressions. HTH!

Yeah, my wife said the same thing. I think we could also add the size of the
grass and the lack of detail on the building. A lower camera angle might also
help.
