Here is an abstract inspired by a recent posting
from Dave Fontaine of blue superellipsiods viewed through
a fisheye lens. Makes a good background image.

Wow, that's beautiful. I'll make pictures like this one to use as background.

Inspired by? You mean ripped off of? (only kidding ;)
Are these superellispsoids or "roundboxes"?

Hmm, whenever you want a different background now you can go into photoshop
and due a hue shift. :-)

I like it. The colours are restful and it gives a good illusion of depth so I
have adopted it as wallpaper for the moment. It has also inspired me to have a
go at something I have been contemplating for over a year now (a short timescale
for me :-)

Round boxes. The superellipsiods render slowly, especially
on the Amiga version

Heheh. The actual macro to pick the colors is called
"random_blue_color()".  :)

The response to this render has been surprisingly
positive. I will post the source on
povray.text.scene-files, subject "a blue abstract".
Thanks to all who replied.

Heheh, mine was called RGB() (from HLS that is) :-)
I find it very useful. On my site if ya want it. (HLS <-> RGB is probably the
easiest color-space conversion to do since it's not really weighted.)
