Here is just a quick overview what i plan for these year. Only 50 weeks left and
so much empty space in the room. Hope my inspiration keeps in good mood.

Very cool!
BTW, I'm running Windows 7, and the animation doesn't play in "Windows Media
Player" itself... but plays fine in all of my other video-viewing apps. It's an
old problem; I'm thinking that the .dat file-type extension that the POV-ray
newsgroups append onto uploaded videos is the cause(?)
I'm looking forward to seeing how your animation progresses!

No, it's not the file-type extension. Same here, Windows 10 does'nt play h.264
encoded files too. But I'm not using the 'good' old Windows Media Player.

It's going very slowly, I'm working on the decor, stairs, pipings, electrical
systems and displays. Lots of technical equipment and a surprising story in the
background.

I think there's something more mysterious involved than just h.264. My own video
camera produces h.264 files, and they play fine in Windows Media Player (my
version, anyway.) However, those files are wrapped in an .MOV container format--
i.e., Quicktime. Same success in WMP with h.264 files wrapped in an .MP4
container. Your own video-- as uploaded to the newsgroups-- shows up here as
jk_povtons_01_preview.mp4.mpg
(not .dat , sorry for the confusion)
I'm not really sure what that .mpg addition represents or what it does-- but
apparently Windows Media Player can play some container formats(?) but not
others? The .mpg addition seems to be confusing it.
Alas, the mystery continues...

Thunderbird/Ubuntu, I see the file as .mp4 . No extra .mpg extension.
Weird that the web site adds an extra extension.

No there is more than that.
In Tbird I can view the animation directly but it will not save. I see
it named jk_povtons_01_preview.mp4
On the website I see it named jk_povtons_01_preview.mp4.mpg
It downloads and plays directly using MPC-HC (My default player.) It
does not play with Windows Media Player even when removing the ".mpg"
It is a good start and worth the effort.

BTW in the animation between 12 & 13 seconds. There is a change in the
black and yellow striped material.
