Hi!
Here is a short film by the research group www.formulas.it of Roma Tre
University.
I took part in its creation as a graphic designer and programmer, hope you like
it!

Excellent work! It moves well. Thank you for posting a pointer.
Was the chalk blackboard done with an image map or a procedural texture?
I'm also interested in how you accomplished the chalk drawing effect on
the backboard in the closing credits.

It is very good. I did not know whether to watch the animation or listen
to (read) the message.
I suppose I will have to watch it again. ;-)
I was impressed by the animation's transitions.
The voice over is good too.
Complimenti!

A very interesting research, and the animation is fluid and fancy.
A work for the EXPO?
Thank you for sharing it,
Paolo

Thank you all indeed!
Bill, I'm sorry to tell you that the blackboard is just an image map, then the
chalk writing is a rude scroll through a set of numbered images... In fact,
image maps are the only part made outside POV-Ray.
Paolo, the video was not meant for Expo, but it fits pretty well in its topics,
so we're trying to promote the research in that field too!
Kind regards,
CP

Dear friends, I posted this short pov-ray film some time ago, and now it has
been selected for the Imagine Science Film Festival in New York.
The other two authors and I are all students, and the work is zero-budget, but
we are invited to present our film's screening, so we started a found-rising
campaign to travel in USA from Italy.
Hope you'll like to spread it, if not to contribute ;)

Thank you!
