Hi people
First this was test with a stadycam I've borrowed from a friend. I've tracked it
and used technics, that I've explained in this tutorial:
web.496c8e8bd6f3d46e6b25087b0@news.povray.org

This scene has 3 objects:
- a background-plane, using screen.inc
- a ground-plane, using the projection-map from megapov
- the alien

The funny thing is, that every object is ambient 1.

The alien has a projection_map to. The object, projected to the alien is the
ground plane, while the alien is projected to the plane...

No lightsources are in the scene :)

Holger

The image quality in the video is extremely poor, but in this case it
actually helps concealing that the alien is rendered and makes it look
awesomely real. It would be, however, interesting to see the same video
with a much higher quality, ie. without the mpeg artifacts.

It looks very much like someone in a suit. Maybe you should make the
alien even less humanoid to make it very clear that it cannot be a
person in a suit?-)

Anyways, this is one of the best animations I have even seen done with
POV-Ray. Just wishing there were less video compression artifacts.

That turned out very well! What did you use for the motion tracking? I played
with ARToolkit a while ago, but you always have those darned patterns to
handle. Nice work though.

Hi people,
I used Boujou in version 1.0. Newer version are faster, but have more problems.

Well, the clip is very long and 700K is very small space... thats the reason for
the poor quality - sorry.

Boujou is _very_ expensive. I used it in our company. The version 1.0 is slow,
but the must accurate version, I know.
