For those who saw, yesterday I posted a question as to the physics of a mid-air
explosion. Well, it part finished last night, and I wanted feedback on what I
have so far.
The animation can be found here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve4-5d688n8

As for what I think, I think that maybe the fireball that initiates the big
explosion is a bit to small, and moves away to fast, but I don't know, it might
be realistic.

Anyhow, I was hoping for some more experienced people to comment.

Oh, and the animation uses Runes particle system, and Chris Colefax's explode
macros.

Hmm... It suddenly goes bright, what happened there? And it's too short.
Still rendering?

There is some kind of video encoding artifact at the very end. Or is it
a half-rendered frame?

The brightness was because yes, it is still rendering. I had originally
rendered it at Q1 to make sure the camera movements, and debris were realistic
enough.

I am re-rendering it now, but it's taking so long, and not much more is
happening, that I posted the animation with the real explosion first. IT's
taking about an hour per frame, so...I hope it finishes by tonight.

That fire/smoke trail at the before the explosion is really effective.
:) As for the un-finished part, I think overall things seem to be coming
along *very* quickly.

Email me the sources (remove .is.the.best from the address; that's for
anti-spam reasons).

I would have, earlier, but the code's at the last 5 frames...

Could do higher resolution, or more frames (or both).

Nah, It's ok. I'll keep your adress in mind if I ever need to do another anim,
but the res is already at 640 pixels wide, and the Frames are satisfying
enough.

And actually it just finished. So now I'll spend the next few hour or so
compiling the entire 30 second animation into itself, adding a title and
credits...

It'll be on my website when it's finished.
