Hello,

A new post of a fluid animation rendered with MegaPOV 0.7.

For the fluid simulation, when comparing with the last post, I increased the
speed impact of the object and its density (now it sink).

For the rendering, I changed the point of view and the object texture.

The video id MPEG1 encoded.

Any comment is wellcome.

That is truly awesome... the splash effect and the waves.
Cool to see the reflection in the sunken... metal lump.
May i just ask you what process you go trough when making you still into an
mpg?
As in, what programs and settings are used, if you dont mind telling.
Cuz you have a very hq clip, compared to what i usually get...

Simply incredible.  I'd love to see a longer animation, but I don't know 
how prohibitive the size would become...

I use TMPGEnc at 25 i/s, 1700 Kbits/s, 512x384 pixels (identical size to the
MegaPOV rendering). The other parameter are left as default.

The problem for a longer animation is not the file size but the time to
simulate and render it.

Awesome :)

There's been major progress with this new video. The fluid acts much more
like water now. The caustics look good and I love the splash effect too.
Can you get globs of water to separate from the main body of water with a
hard enough splash?. I would like to see a few more seconds at the end of
this video.

I can't wait for the next liquid animation :)

Thank you.

About globs of water, with some simulation I had some little fluid parts
separeting from the bulk. The problem is that it diseaper with time. To
keep them, I would need smaller grip size (but it means also more memory
cost and cpu time).
