Nothing appears to happen. Should I download again?

povray.animations, Flickering flick help!
If you look closely you will be able to see some slight flickering in the
cube.

I find this a bit strange.
There's absolutely no motion in this scene (I hope)
but there is this flicker. It must somehow be related
to the video compression method used.

Correct, that is what it is supposed to show.
It was a test for the thread, in povray.animations, Flickering flick help!
kind.

Well there is movement though no intended,
so I think it fits here.
It was also educational at least for me as well
as the thread in p.animations.

You can check whether the effect is occurring in POV-Ray or in the
animation compression routines by taking two raw frames, as output by
POV-Ray, into a suitable image processing application, calculating the
difference between the images and enhancing the contrast.
When I try that with a cube of T_Stone28 with "-J" in the command line
the frames are identical. The difference is perfectly black. If that's
the case for you, then the effect is nothing to do with POV-Ray.
