I tried to post an animated gif-file to this group, but without success.
I'm using Gravity and to attach a file I've to choose between MIME and
UUENCODE. I tried MIME and had to make a new choice for "content
encoding" and "content type". But perhaps that's not the right way
because the message is split in 2 parts and I don't notice the gif-file.
I noticed that using "uuencode" I could immediately attach the file.
But, before I try this, I hope somebody can tell me how I can do it.

Whatever is going on with your newsreader, it is seriously misconfigured and
producing non-standard MIME messages that are broken. I would suggest to
use another newsreader.
